Reflection

Reflecting on this, I am glad I got to talk to my gandma about this topic, but i aslo talked to my parents and my parents talked to and aunt and uncle of mine about the topic. It sparked a discussion of mutual interest among family memebers because they all had been there they had experinced the same events but from different perspectives, and even though they weren't who i interviewd i learned things about what it was like. They could only remember bits and pieces of what was goin on, while my grandma rememberd more of what happend but still they all had something different to put into it.My dad rememberd the food in the grocree stores being gone my uncle recalls that he was never suppose to go too far south of his home, and my mom remembers beign escorted to school by her father who brought a baseball bat, so I got to learn alot about what it was like for my family. My grandma's answers were interesting some I expected and some were different than I thought they would be. Her toughts about father Groppi didn't suprise me, and i didn't expect her opinion to be influenced by the protesting because people don't like to change their beliefs plus she probablly sided with them for the most part. The answer to he first question I thought was very intersting because it provieded insite into the mind of a black person living near all the action. My grandma has never been a fearful person but I thought this would have phased her a bit. I guess not. That suprised me.
